Location: Ontario (remote, with regular travel to prospects and project sites)

Type: Full-time

About the opportunity

An established, well-capitalized company that designs, builds, and finances commercial and industrial (C&I) solar and battery storage projects across Ontario is adding a dedicated C&I rooftop sales executive. This is a true hunter role: a greenfield territory, a financeable offer most competitors cannot match, and uncapped earnings. You own the full sales cycle, from sourcing your own pipeline to signing the contract, and you work directly with the President and the team that builds what you sell.

Here is what makes the role different. The company can put a fully financed proposal in front of a building owner so a customer can host a rooftop solar and storage system with little or no upfront capital. Your job is to find the roofs and close the deals.

What you will do

● Self-source and build a pipeline of C&I rooftop prospects across Ontario: warehousing, manufacturing, logistics, cold storage, agriculture, commercial real estate, and multi-site portfolios.

● Own the full cycle: prospecting, discovery, roof and energy assessment coordination, proposal, financial business case, negotiation, and close.

● Sell the financed offer with confidence, walking owners and CFOs through the ITC, Save on Energy incentives, net metering, and PPA or lease economics.

● Turn a customer's hydro bills and roof into a clear, numbers-driven business case, working with internal engineering and finance on sizing and pricing.

● Manage a long, consultative cycle across multiple stakeholders, from facility managers to ownership.

● Keep a disciplined CRM and forecast, and hit quarterly and annual origination targets measured in signed megawatts and gross margin.

● Represent the company credibly in the market during a confidential, early growth stage.

What you bring

● 5 or more years of B2B sales with a documented record of closing complex, high-value deals, ideally in commercial or industrial accounts.

● Experience selling into C&I buyers. Backgrounds that transfer well include commercial solar, energy efficiency, BESS, HVAC, roofing, building automation, industrial equipment, or energy brokerage.

● Comfort with numbers. You can build or explain a simple payback, IRR, and cash-flow story, and hold your own with a CFO.

● A real hunter mentality. You prospect on your own, you are comfortable with long cycles, and you close.

● An Ontario network in commercial real estate, industrial operations, or facilities is a strong asset.

● Valid Ontario driver's license and willingness to travel across the province.

● Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Compensation

● A monthly draw against uncapped commission. You receive a set monthly draw as a stable income floor, reconciled against the commissions you earn.

● Ramp protection: the draw is non-recoverable for your first six months while you build pipeline, then converts to a recoverable draw against commissions.

● Uncapped commission on every signed and installed project, based on system size, with accelerators once you pass your annual target.

● On-target earnings of roughly $150,000 to $200,000 once your pipeline is established, with a protected ramp in year one while your first deals mature. Top performers clear $250,000 and up. No cap.

● Reimbursed travel and phone, plus a clear path to build and lead the sales team as the company scales.
