Full job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of our financial data.

This role requires proficiency with accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles. The position offers 32-40 hours per week, flexible work-life balance, and the opportunity to work in a family-owned and operated business.

Schedule:

Day shift: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Pay: $24.00-$28 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week

Qualifications

· Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role (min 2 years required)

· Experience with Quickbooks, Sage or equivalent accounting software. QB is a strong asset

· Experience reconciling bank/credit card accounts and customer/vendor accounts

· Maintain journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end reporting

· Manage and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

· Prepare and remit source deductions, HST and WSIB

· Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly

· Prepare and review financial reports and statements for management

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

· Use of discretion and integrity concerning confidential financial information

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
