Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Barista/Foodista to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. The ideal candidate has experience in the food industry, excellent time management skills, and a passion for creating a welcoming environment for all guests. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation, cashiering, and food safety within a dynamic team setting.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks using POS systems such as Micros POS
Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide outstanding customer service
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
Prepare food items according to safety standards and quality guidelines
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols
Restock supplies and ensure the proper storage of food and beverages
Manage time efficiently during busy periods to serve customers promptly
Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met
Assist with opening and closing duties as required

Qualifications

Previous barista experience or food service background is preferred
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
Strong customer service skills with an outgoing personality
Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and order processing
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Basic understanding of serving, food preparation, and food industry best practices
