OJCR Construction Ltd. is a growing civil construction company specializing in underground infrastructure, excavation, and site servicing. We are seeking an experienced Pipelayer to assist with the installation of watermain, sanitary, and storm systems.
Responsibilities
- Laying out pipelines according to blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions
- Digging trenches or ditches to prepare for pipeline installation
- Assembling and installing various types of pipes, including metal, concrete, and plastic
- Connecting pipes using welding equipment, screws, bolts, or cement
- Caulking joints and wrapping pipes with insulation materials
- Covering pipelines with soil or other materials
- Monitoring testing equipment to ensure that pipelines are functioning properly
- Repairing leaks or breaks in pipelines
- Locating underground utilities before digging
- Adhering to safety standards when working with heavy machinery and hazardous materials
- Ability to work long hours, often in inclement weather
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in civil construction or underground services
- Previous pipelayer experience
- Knowledge of site servicing, trenching, and pipe installation
- Training records (Working at heights, confined space, etc)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
- English language proficiency
