Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Spanish Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in teaching the Spanish language to younger students and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves both one-on-one sessions and small-group classes, teaching speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Spanish, preparing students for academic success, and adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of learners.

Duties

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and learning goals.
Lead one-on-one sessions and small-group classes, managing group dynamics so that every student stays engaged and progresses.
Provide class reports promptly after each session.
Conduct assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
Use effective classroom management techniques to create a productive and inclusive learning environment.
Communicate clearly with students, parents, and colleagues about learning progress and areas for development.
Provide additional support to students who need extra help understanding class content.
Adapt teaching to accommodate the diverse needs of learners.

Qualifications

Proficient in Spanish, with excellent command of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
Fluent in English.
Bachelor's degree.
Experience teaching small-group classes is required.
Teaching experience preferred; special education experience is a plus.
Valid teaching certification or license is a plus.
Strong cross-cultural communication skills, with the ability to respect and incorporate the diverse cultural backgrounds of Canadian students into the teaching process.
Comfortable using technology and educational software to enhance learning experiences.
A genuine passion for educating students.

Compensation & Benefits

$25–45 per hour, with higher compensation for group classes.
Professional and leadership skill training provided.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Freelance

Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
