Camp Coordinator
July 13–17, 2026 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM $17–$20+/hour (based on experience)
We are looking for a reliable, responsible adult (18+) to join our summer camp team for one week only as a Camp Coordinator.
This role exists to ensure adult supervision and leadership while our experienced camp instructors and counselors run the program. If you enjoy working with children, are comfortable around horses and animals, and are looking for a fun, meaningful short-term summer role, this may be a great fit.
About Our Camp
Our horse-focused day camp serves children ages 7–11 in a supportive, energetic environment. Campers rotate through riding lessons, ground/horsemanship lessons, games, and crafts, building confidence, leadership skills, and respectful partnerships with horses.
- 18–24 campers total
- Small groups (max 6 campers per group)
- Well-established program with experienced instructional staff

Your Role
You will work as part of a team, reporting to the Lead Camp Instructor, with responsibilities focused on supervision, coordination, and communication, not lesson instruction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide adult oversight and leadership throughout the camp day
- Supervise junior counselors and helpers (ages 16–17)
- Support campers and staff as needed during transitions and activities
- Communicate calmly and professionally with parents at drop-off, pick-up, or if concerns arise
- Help maintain a safe, positive, and well-organized camp environment
- Step in as a steady, responsible presence if issues or behaviour concerns arise
This role does NOT require teaching riding lessons, though lesson instruction may be available for the right candidate.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Available July 13–17, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, full commitment required
- Reliable transportation to/from our farm
- Previous summer camp or child-focused work experience
- Comfortable around horses (basic handling/experience is sufficient)
- Comfortable around all animals (dogs and cats on site)
- Confident, calm communicator with both children and parents
- Physically able to manage an active outdoor environment
- Dependable — ability to commit fully to the week is essential
- First Aid / CPR certification an asset
- Experience with partnership-based or horse-first approaches preferred

Compensation
- $17–$20+/hour, depending on experience
- Paid for all scheduled hours (8:30–4:30)
- Supportive, experienced team — you are not expected to run the camp
