Role: Personal Trainer / Coach, F45 Hamilton Downtown

Business Summary

Functional 45 Training (F45) has been one of the fastest growing fitness network in the world (and Canada).

We are looking for fun, energetic and motivating personal trainers to join our team to help us change lives.
Functional 45 Training (“F45") has over 1,200 studios in 42 countries and we were Hamilton’s first studio located right the heart of the downtown core at Wellington and King St. beside the international gates.

What makes F45 different?

45-minute workouts with a focus on functional strength training and HIIT circuits using the industry’s most innovative technology and equipment
Workouts and music are programmed by HQ and deployed globally each day. Members will never do the same workout or hear the same playlist twice
F45’s exercise science and training team take a periodized approach to planning workouts on quarter by quarter basis
Instructors time is 100% focused on training and helping clients without any obligatory, after-hours programming/session planning!

Trainer Role and Responsibilities:

Demonstrate & Instruct F45 classes each week
Afternoons, Evenings and weekends
Total hours per week: 2-8 hours/ week
Pay $25 / hour

F45 Trainer Responsibilities

Demonstrate and deliver highly energetic and fun pre-programmed F45 workouts for up to 30 members with another instructor (1-2 instructors per class)
Ensure safety of members with regards to heart rate and exercise technique, providing safety corrections and exercise modifications (regressions & progressions) when required
Ensure training floor and equipment is clean and tidy before, during and after each class
Review 5-min session tips video the day before a scheduled workout
Set-up equipment & cleaning for next day's work out if working the last class of the day (paid hour)
Help trial customers and new members sign-up for next classes following their workout
Follow up with first-time trial members to ensure they had a great class and book them into their next class (use of Loyalsnap - CRM Software)

Qualifications and Skills

Demonstrates clear leadership qualities. Owns the room and situation
High level of personal fitness and regular active participation in a physical exercise routine
Energetic and motivating
Punctual and reliable; all classes are set, you just need to know layouts, modifications and station settings prior to the start of each day
Team player. Open to sharing with and learning from fellow coaches. We can all be better together. Our principles are: Radical Transparency, Accountability, Reliability.

Sales Responsibilities:

To help grow sales, the following are the expectations we have for our trainers:

Reviewing mindbody for new member sign-ups and class attendance
Conducting new member orientations and goal inquiry
Conducting membership conversation when it is time

All Applicants must have:

Positive, fun and outgoing personality!
Personal Training Certification or Group Fitness Instructor accreditation through a nationally recognized organization such as Canfit-Pro or similar

Post-Secondary education related to the health and fitness industry (Kinesiology, Physical Education, etc.)
Personal training/group training experience is requirement. You must have at least 1 year of relevant experience.
Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification
