Arthur Electric Inc. Is Hiring a 309A Apprentice!

We are currently seeking a full-time Apprentice Electrician (309A) to join our Construction Team. The ideal candidate is a reliable, organized, skilled professional with strong commercial construction knowledge and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Install electrical systems and equipment in accordance with drawings, specifications, the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, and company standards.
Install and support conduit, cable tray, raceways, boxes, supports, and electrical equipment.
Pull, route, terminate, label, and organize electrical wiring and cabling.
Assist with the installation of panels, transformers, distribution equipment, lighting, controls, and other electrical systems.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, specifications, and basic schematics.
Complete assigned work with increasing independence while seeking direction when required.
Measure, plan, and lay out work accurately before installation.
Identify potential installation issues and communicate them to the Journeyperson, Lead Hand, or Foreman.
Use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, ladders, lifts, and other construction equipment safely and appropriately.
Maintain an organized work area and properly care for company tools, equipment, and materials.
Follow site-specific and company health and safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, inspections, and required training.
Work collaboratively with other electricians, apprentices, trades, supervisors, and site personnel.
Assist and provide guidance to less-experienced apprentices when appropriate.
Maintain regular attendance and arrive prepared for scheduled shifts.
Complete required documentation, timecards, safety forms, and other company records accurately and on time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Registered Electrical Apprentice in Ontario, 3rd, 4th, or 5th term.
Relevant construction electrical experience appropriate to apprenticeship level.
Working knowledge of electrical installation practices, tools, materials, and equipment.
Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and specifications appropriate to apprenticeship level.
Understanding of construction-site health and safety requirements.
Ability to take direction while demonstrating increasing initiative and independence.
Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with construction electrical work.
Valid safety certifications and training as required by the Company, client, or project.
Reliable transportation and ability to travel to assigned project locations as required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Field-based role on construction sites.
Extended hours may be required during peak demand.
Shifts generally fall between the hours of 6:00am to 4:00pm.
