About the Position
We are looking for a friendly and dependable Community Outreach Representative to introduce Welcome Home Construction to homeowners in selected neighbourhoods.
This is an active, people-focused position involving neighbourhood walking, door-to-door introductions and friendly conversations with homeowners.
This is not a high-pressure sales position. Your role is to introduce the company, briefly explain our services, identify homeowners who may need assistance and arrange a complimentary consultation with our construction team.
This position may be especially appealing to someone seeking flexible, active, part-time work, including a retired or semi-retired tradesperson, construction professional or experienced customer-service representative.
Responsibilities
- Walk through assigned Kitchener-Waterloo neighbourhoods during scheduled outreach periods
- Introduce Welcome Home Construction to local homeowners
- Have friendly, professional and respectful conversations
- Briefly explain our construction, renovation and property-maintenance services
- Distribute company brochures and promotional materials
- Identify homeowners who may be considering construction or repair work
- Book complimentary consultations for qualified homeowners
- Record completed visits, homeowner interest and booked appointments
- Represent Welcome Home Construction professionally within the community
Services You Will Introduce
Our services include:
- General construction and renovations
- Home additions and accessory dwelling units
- Roofing and exterior repairs
- Concrete, walkways and property improvements
- Waterproofing and drainage solutions
- Interior renovations and repairs
- Plumbing, electrical and HVAC coordination
- Maintenance and repair services for homeowners and property managers
Full training and easy-to-use reference materials will be provided.
Qualifications
- Friendly, outgoing and comfortable speaking with new people
- Patient, respectful and trustworthy
- Clear verbal communication skills
- Dependable and able to work independently
- Comfortable walking outdoors for approximately two to three hours at a time
- Able to safely navigate sidewalks, driveways, steps and residential properties
- Available for some evening and weekend shifts
- Reliable transportation to assigned neighbourhoods
- Basic smartphone skills for recording visits and appointments
Previous experience in construction, home renovations, the skilled trades, property management, customer service, community outreach or sales is an asset but not mandatory.

Schedule
Most shifts will take place:
