Must have prior Indian kitchen experience to be considered as it a fast paced kitchen with minimal training provided

We are seeking a highly independent, self-starting Chef to take full ownership of our bustling resto-bar kitchen. We need a strong leader who requires zero hand-holding and can confidently manage both our authentic Indian menu and a high-volume bar food program.

What You'll Do:

Run the Kitchen: Take complete charge of the hot line during busy services, ensuring fast and accurate ticket times under pressure.
Menu Execution: Masterfully prepare authentic Indian dishes, including operating the tandoor (breads and marinated meats) and making large-batch biryanis and curries.
Bar Food Management: Drive our bar food program, which heavily relies on perfectly executing fried meats.
Kitchen Operations: Independently handle all prep work, marinades, kitchen cleanliness, and strict food safety standards.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience as a Chef, Kitchen Manager, or Line Cook in a fast-paced environment.
Deep knowledge of authentic Indian cuisine and tandoor operation.
Strong experience running fry stations and executing bar food.
A proactive, fiercely independent worker who doesn't need step-by-step direction to keep the kitchen running smoothly.

Pay: $3,400.00-$4,800.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

Waterloo, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

Indian kitchen: 1 year (required)

Work Location: In person
