Frontline Traffic Services is a well-established traffic control company, focused on providing traffic control services throughout the Maritimes. Join our team as a Traffic Control Person (TCP) and spend your summer outside, staying active, and helping keep construction sites safe in Halifax/Dartmouth and surrounding HRM areas. It's easy to learn, you'll get full training, and you'll be part of a friendly team that's all about working hard and having fun! We offer:

Competitive wages starting at $17.50/hour
Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification training.
Transportation to and from work provided (some exceptions may apply).
Respectful and friendly management team that will help you succeed.
Most PPE will be supplied by the company.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist with placing signs, barricades, and traffic cones in work areas.
Communicate with other TCPs in the workplace to regulate traffic safely.
Responsible for the safe passage of vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists through work areas.
Adapt traffic control setups to support moving paving operations.
Communicate any incidents or hazards to the Site Supervisor.
Ensure a safe work environment in accordance with all policies and procedures.
Follow instructions given by Site Foreman, Site Supervisor, and Management.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Reliable and punctual.
Must be able to interpret both written and verbal instructions.
Great communication skills and willing to work in a team environment.
Able to work outside in all weather conditions, often working long days.
Comfortable working near vehicle traffic and heavy equipment on construction sites.
Required ability to lift up to 30 lbs and standing for long periods of time.
Valid TCP Certification an asset.
Valid Class 5 License an asset.
