The Opportunity
La Canadienne is seeking a Full-Time, career-oriented Sales Associate / Specialist (Key Holder) to support our Toronto Premium Outlet store. This role is ideal for a luxury retail professional who delivers exceptional customer service, drives sales through relationship building, and supports store operations through key-holder responsibilities.
As a brand ambassador, you will represent La Canadienne’s values, craftsmanship, and customer-first philosophy while supporting daily store operations.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
- Deliver an elevated customer experience by building rapport and understanding client needs
- Build and maintain a loyal clientele through new customer acquisition and ongoing client development
- Achieve personal sales goals through relationship selling and exceptional service
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of La Canadienne products and current collections, both in-store and online
- Educate customers on product features, fit, and care
Operations & Key Holder Support
- Act as a Key Holder, supporting the Store Manager in daily store operations
- Perform store opening and closing procedures in accordance with security and cash-handling protocols
- Provide leadership coverage when management is not on the floor, ensuring store standards and policies are upheld
- Assist with staff guidance and operational support as needed
- Communicate inventory, product quality, or operational concerns to management promptly
Sales Operations & Product Flow
- Accurately and efficiently process sales transactions at POS (Shopify knowledge a bonus)
- Receive, unpack, replenish, and process merchandise
- Execute inter-store transfers and customer orders (picking, packing, and shipping)
- Maintain visual merchandising and window displays in alignment with brand standards
Store Standards & Team Collaboration
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure sales floor and stock areas
- Ensure a safe, tidy, and professional work environment
- Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment
- Support management with additional operational duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of luxury or premium retail sales experience
- Previous key-holder experience preferred
- Strong customer service and relationship-selling skills
- Independent, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and entrepreneurial
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to resolve customer concerns professionally
- Awareness of current fashion trends and the competitive retail landscape
- Flexible availability, including week days, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
- Weekend availability required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $18.50 per hour
