Founded over 45 years ago, QSL is a key supply chain player in port terminal operations, stevedoring, marine services, logistics and transportation throughout North America. With a network of over 66 marine terminals in Canada and the United States, our multi-modal capabilities allow us to play a key role in any supply chain. We specialize in the development of innovative and customized dockside, road and rail handling solutions.

Job Description

The supervisor plays a key role in overseeing vessel loading and unloading operations and managing the handling of our clients' cargo. They also lead initiatives focused on health and safety, operational excellence, customer service quality, environmental stewardship, and employee engagement.

DAILY YOU WILL:

Plan and allocate lifting equipment, and heavy machinery resources.
Dispatch tasks and manage a team of twenty longshoreman.
Coordinate the execution of the work in order to meet the agreed timelines.
Oversee safe work practices and enforce environmental and operational standards.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation in work methods, optimizing the use of equipment and labor.
Ensure client satisfaction by keeping stakeholders well-informed.

Be available to work on rotating schedule including weekends and night shifts.
