Job Description
We are an event entertainment company based in Hamilton, Ontario. We provide photo booth and event entertainment services for weddings, birthday parties, corporate galas, holiday parties, school events, community events, and many other special occasions.
We are hiring a Full-Time Event Attendant / Event Operations Assistant to join our team.
No photography experience is required. Training will be provided.
This is not a typical Monday-to-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. job. Most events happen during evenings, weekends, and holidays. You must be comfortable working late nights, including returning to the warehouse after midnight. Some events may end around 12 a.m., 1 a.m., or occasionally 2 a.m. after teardown, travel, and equipment return.
This role is approximately:
- 80% Event Attendant / On-Site Event Operations
- 20% Backend Operations, Event Coordination, Admin & Creative Support
The exact split may vary depending on event volume, season, and operational needs.
Pay and Hours
Starting wage: $17.60/hour
After 2 months, wage increases to $19.00/hour, subject to successful completion of training/probation and satisfactory work performance.
This is a full-time position with 35 guaranteed hours per week.
Because this is an event-based role, daily hours may vary. Some workdays may be longer, such as 10–12 hours, especially on weekends or for events farther away. Other workdays may be shorter to balance the weekly schedule.
You are paid from the time you arrive at our warehouse in Hamilton to pick up equipment until the time you return the equipment properly and leave the warehouse. You will be driving company vehicle to events (Regular Sedan).
Travel from your home to our warehouse, and from our warehouse back to your home, is not paid.
Schedule Requirements
You must be available to work:
- Thursday
- Friday
- Saturday
- Sunday
Regular days off are expected to be Monday and Tuesday. However, if an event or operational need falls on Monday or Tuesday, a different day off may be arranged by mutual agreement.
You must be comfortable with:
- Evening shifts
- Weekend shifts
- Late-night shifts
- Working past midnight
- Occasionally arriving home very late
- Working alone at client venues after training
- Event-based scheduling where some days are longer and some days are shorter
Typical event shifts may look like:
- 3 p.m. to 12 a.m.
- 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.
- 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Longer shifts for events farther away from Hamilton
Non-Negotiable: Must be able to commit to your shift, as we run an event based company, and most of our clients are celebrating their once-in-a-lifetime moment, and last minute drop shift will have tremendous impact for the company and also the client.
Job Overview
You will be responsible for transporting, setting up, operating, and tearing down photo booth and event equipment at client venues.
Occassionally during slower week, you will also help with backend operational tasks such as equipment cleaning, packing, testing, inventory checks, prop preparation, warehouse organization, event coordination support, client email responses, photo template design, and simple marketing material preparation.
This role is best suited for someone who is reliable, comfortable driving, able to lift equipment, detail-oriented, comfortable with computers, and able to represent the company professionally in front of guests, clients, and venue staff.
On-Site Event Attendant Responsibilities:
- Pick up equipment from our warehouse in Hamilton (Barton/Centennial)
- Drive company vehicle when assigned
- Occasionally use your own reliable vehicle to get to work or to an event if needed
- Transport equipment to client venues
- Set up photo booth and event equipment
- Operate the booth during the event
- Interact professionally with guests, clients, and venue staff
- Assist guests with using the photo booth
- Monitor equipment during the event
- Troubleshoot basic equipment or software issues after training
- Keep the booth area clean and organized during the event
- Tear down equipment after the event
- Return equipment to the warehouse
- Put equipment back properly and neatly
- Work independently at event venues after training
Backend Operations Duties:
During non-event hours, you may assist with backend operations, including:
- Cleaning and inspecting equipment
- Testing booth equipment before events
- Packing event kits based on internal checklists
- Checking printer paper, ink, cables, props, stands, backdrops, and accessories
- Organizing warehouse/storage areas
- Preparing props and event supplies
- Charging batteries, laptops, tablets, power stations, and related devices
- Reporting missing, damaged, or low-stock items
- Assisting with basic post-event file organization
- Keeping equipment and supplies ready for upcoming events
- Computer related work such as: responding to email, event planning management, designing photo template and related marketing materials
Note that the primary duty of this role is to serve as on-site Event Attendant role, with most of the time expect 100% of the work to be on-site event attendant role, with very rare back-end operational duties.

You must have:
- Ability to legally work in Canada for at least the next 2 years
- Ability to work full-time, 35 hours per week
- Availability on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and late nights
- Ability to work past midnight, occasionally until around 2 a.m.
- Ability to work alone at client venues after training
- Ability to commute to our warehouse in Hamilton (Barton/Centennial)
- Reliable transportation to get to and from the warehouse, including after midnight
- Full G driver’s licence or G2 driver’s licence
- Ability to drive a regular company vehicle
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg of equipment
- Ability to occasionally carry equipment up stairs at older venues
- Ability to work at different client venues across GTA, KWC, Hamilton, Niagara, and surrounding areas
- Ability to stay focused and not constantly use your phone while working
- Positive attitude and confidence when interacting with guests

- Weekend schedule visibility for at least the next 6 months
No previous photo booth or photography experience is required. We are willing to train the right person.
Compensation
- $17.60/hour to start
- Increase to $19.00/hour after 2 months, subject to successful completion of training/probation
- 35 guaranteed hours per week
- Paid travel time from warehouse to client venue and back to warehouse
- Travel from your home to warehouse and warehouse to home is not paid
Pay: $17.20-$19.00 per hour
