Role Description
- This is a long term full-time role for a Plumber / Pipefitter working hands on in the field and shop. The role involves working on a variety of piping and mechanical systems based on projects needs and specifications provided, communicate with clients, diagnose and resolve issues in the field, while maintaining company standard and high-level of work quality all with the support of Hoffer Mechanical operations personnel.
- This role can lead to a shop/office role involving coordination with office and field team for projects, provide support where required. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout requirements. Visit job sites, troubleshoot client issues, perform takeoff and estimates, communicate with customers. Maintain shop and equipment in good status.
- Applicants must be a member of plumbing and pipefitters union, preferably Local 67 Hamilton-Niagara-Brantford.

Qualifications
- Licensed journeyperson/foreman proficient in plumbing and pipefitting tasks, with a strong understanding of industry standards and practices
- Strong focus on safe work practices and documentation
- Preferably 10 years of trade and project execution experience, preference for individuals with industrial project experience.
- Knowledgeable of various piping systems and estimating techniques
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and professionally
- Experience leading a team (supervisor role)
- Valid driver's license
- Strong communication, problem solving and technical skills
Additional skillsets preferred but not required
- Welding, brazing, metallic and non-metallic piping, equipment maintenance/repair
- Gas Fitter License
- TSSA requirements and understanding of ASME B31.1 and B31.3
- Ontario plumbing code
Pay: $78.73-$86.23 per hour
