We are currently seeking casual part-time Dietary Aides to join our growing and dynamic team!

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Set the dining room tables with cutlery, mugs, side plates, napkins and condiments
Portion menu items such as desserts, milk, juice, salad plates, follow therapeutic menu portion sizes
Prepare sandwiches and special request items
Serve meals to residents in a courteous and friendly manner fulfilling the mission of St. Joseph's Villa
Ensure Ministry of Health Standards are met
Prepare nourishment carts and serve afternoon snacks
Wash pots, pans and small wares
Clean dish machine and dish room equipment
Participate in Departmental Safety Inspections when required
Other duties as assigned

FORMAL EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS - MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:

SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED OR ENROLLED IN A FOOD SERVICE WORKER PROGRAM
COMPLETED AN APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM IN THE TRADE OF COOK, INSTITUTIONAL COOK OR ASSISTANT COOK
ENTERED INTO A REGISTERED TRAINING AGREEMENT IN THE TRADE OF COOK, INSTITUTIONAL COOK OR ASSISTANT COOK
A CERTIFICATE OF QUALIFICATION IN THE TRADE OF COOK OR INSTITUTIONAL COOK
APPROPRIATE SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELDS OF INSTITUTIONAL, HEALTH CARE, RESTAURANT OR HOSPITIALITY FOOD SERVICE
CERTIFIED FOOD HANDLERS CERTIFICATE IS REQUIRED
