Job Overview

We are seeking motivated individuals for our Pre-Apprentice role in Machining, Millwrighting, and Metal Fabrication. This paid position offers hands-on experience working with advanced equipment such as CNC milling machines, lathes, and fabrication tools. Join our team to develop essential skills in manufacturing processes, technical troubleshooting, and mechanical assembly while contributing to meaningful projects every day.

Responsibilities

Assist with setup and operation of CNC machines including mills and lathes under supervision
Learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models using fusion 360 or similar software
Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and measuring instruments to support fabrication tasks
Support assembly and mechanical fitting of components according to specifications
Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety protocols
Participate in lean manufacturing practices to improve efficiency and reduce waste
Follow safety guidelines diligently during all machining and fabrication activities

Requirements

Basic understanding of manufacturing concepts and mechanical knowledge
Willingness to learn CNC programming
Familiarity with blueprint reading and technical drawings
Proficiency with hand tools, calipers, power tools, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
Ability to work safely with welding equipment, forklifts, and other fabrication tools
Strong work ethic with a desire for professional growth in machining or millwrighting fields
Prior experience in manufacturing or metalworking is a plus but not required; training will be provided
