Full job description

Overview
RMC Martial Arts is one of the largest and most premium Taekwondo dojangs in Canada, featuring nearly 8,000 sq ft of modern training space in Burlington, Ontario.

As a newly opening and rapidly growing dojang, we are looking for a reliable, professional, and positive team member who can support both front desk operations and the overall daily environment of the school.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and families, takes initiative, and understands how to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

While the position begins as part time, there is strong potential for growth into a full time role as the school continues to expand based on performance, professionalism, leadership, and commitment.

Job Details

Part-time position
Monday to Friday
1:00 PM – 5:00 PM (approximately 20 hours per week, schedule may be adjusted based on operational needs)
Starting at Ontario minimum wage
Opportunity for future full time advancement based on performance and leadership

Duties

Greeting students, parents, and visitors professionally
Assisting with memberships, scheduling, registrations, and customer inquiries
Answering phone calls, emails, text messages, and social media inquiries
Managing and learning the Zen Planner membership system for attendance, member profiles, scheduling, and communication
Assisting with student check-ins, trial programs, and member follow-ups
Helping supervise and support children before or after class when needed
Assisting with daily operations and overall front desk coverageMaintaining a clean, welcoming, organized, and professional lobby environment
Assisting with administrative tasks, filing, data entry, and internal communicationSupporting social media management including Instagram and Facebook updates, stories, announcements, photos, and basic content posting
Assisting with event preparation, promotional activities, and member communications
Supporting instructors and management with general operational tasks as needed in a growing school environment
Assisting with light cleaning, organization, and facility upkeep related to daily operations
Performing other reasonable front desk, customer service, administrative, or operational duties assigned by management

Skills

Friendly, professional, and responsible attitude
Strong communication and customer service skills
Comfortable working with children and families
Ability to multitask and adapt in a growing environment
Strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset
Basic computer and mobile app skills
Comfortable learning new software systems such as Zen Planner
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, and basic computer programs is an asset
Interest in social media management, content creation, and basic poster or promotional material design is an asset
Ability to stay organized and manage administrative tasks with attention to detail
Professional phone, email, and customer communication skills
Previous customer service, administration, front desk, or office experience is an asset, but training will be provided
