Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Evening Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional meal service and nutritional support within a healthcare or assisted living environment. This role is vital in ensuring residents or patients receive nutritious, well-prepared meals in a safe and sanitary setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, food preparation, and customer service, with a strong commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our residents while working in a supportive and team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations
Set up dining areas, serve meals to residents with professionalism and courtesy
Maintain accurate documentation related to food service activities
Support the cleaning and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and food contact surfaces after meal service
Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents or contamination during food preparation and service
Collaborate with dietary team members to meet individual dietary needs and preferences of residents or patients

Requirements

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food service industry preferred
Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
Strong time management skills to efficiently serve meals within scheduled times
Excellent customer service skills with a caring attitude toward residents or patients
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Basic understanding of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
Flexibility to work evening shifts as required for this role
Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform cleaning tasks effectively
