Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced and licensed Commercial HVAC Installers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation of commercial HVAC systems, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. The ideal candidate has strong installation experience, can interpret mechanical drawings, and is committed to delivering high-quality workmanship on every project.
Responsibilities:
- Install commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units, boilers, make-up air units, VRF/VRV systems, gas piping, sheet metal, control systems, and air handling units
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and mechanical drawings
- Coordinate with project managers, forepersons, and other trades on job sites
- Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards
- Assist with system start-up and commissioning as required
- Provide guidance and support to apprentices and junior team members
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Maintain company-issued tools and equipment in proper working condition
- Use laptops and mobile devices to complete required documentation, communicate with the team, and attend meetings
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC installation
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and installation practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions
- Willingness to work occasional overtime and out of town as required
Preferred Qualifications:
- 313A Journeyperson License (required)
- G2 Gas Fitter License (G1 considered an asset)
- ODP Certification
- UA Local 787 member
