Reporting to the Senior Manager, Programs & Services, the Programs & Services Resource Lead plays a key role in supporting the successful delivery of programs, camps, and events across Conservation Halton. Through the coordination of staffing, records management, and operational resources, this position helps ensure teams are equipped to deliver exceptional visitor experiences while maximizing program capacity, efficiency, and service excellence.
- Coordinate staffing, scheduling, onboarding, training records, and payroll administration for large seasonal teams.
- Maintain accurate employee records, certifications, training documentation, and operational databases.
- Collaborate with managers, coordinators, supervisors, and program teams to ensure appropriate staffing and resource allocation.
- Monitor program registrations and participation trends, adjusting staffing and operational plans to meet demand.
- Support the growth of programs and events by helping maximize capacity, bookings, and business opportunities.
- Provide on-site operational support for programs, events, and seasonal activities across Conservation Halton parks.
- Assist with communications related to onboarding, scheduling, service updates, and operational changes.
- Support program teams in delivering high-quality guest experiences through effective staff deployment and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure information, resources, and operational requirements are coordinated effectively.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, staffing efficiencies, and program delivery outcomes.
- Support the administration and delivery of competitive snow sport programs in partnership with the Milton Heights Racing Club (MHRC), working closely with Technical and Administrative Head Coaches to coordinate program operations and participant needs.
- Serve as a liaison between competitive program staff, participant families, MHRC volunteers, and Conservation Halton teams, helping ensure effective communication, coordination, and continuity of program activities throughout the year.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Recreation, Sport Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a recreation, events, hospitality, or similar service-based environment.
- Previous experience supporting camps, outdoor recreation programs, snow schools, mountain bike programs, events, or similar operations is an asset
- Minimum three (3) years of experience scheduling and coordinating large employee teams.
- Experience maintaining payroll records and supporting payroll administration processes.
- Experience working with large volumes of data, records, and operational information.
- Experience tracking registrations, enrollments, rosters, or other program-related records.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and digital workforce management systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, participants, families, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and creative thinking abilities.
- Proven ability to collaborate across departments and support a variety of operational teams.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in scheduling, record keeping, and administrative processes.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 40 lbs when required.
- Comfort working with technology, data management tools, and evolving workplace systems, including AI-enabled solutions.
- Experience using Dayforce, WorkHub, Connecteam, Sling, or similar workforce management systems is an asset
- Recreational sport certifications (e.g., CSIA, CASI, PMBIA) or familiarity with recreational sport programming are an asset
- A valid Ontario Drivers Licence, minimum Class “G ”, with a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract is required. *Abstract completed by Conservation Halton.
- Starting at $27.56 per hour based on a 40-hour work week.
