Full job description

As we continue to grow and expand our fleet, we are seeking experienced and passionate DASH 8-100/300 Captains who are looking for more than just a flying job. As a pilot flying for Great North Airlines, the DASH 8-100/300 Captain is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of the aircraft while providing customer service and giving on-time performance due consideration. The DASH 8-100/300 Captain supervises other crew members and has primary responsibility for the flight. The DASH 8-100/300 Captain reports to the Chief Pilot.

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Company aircraft
Ensure all pre-flight, inflight and post-flight duties are completed safely consistent with published Transport Canada regulations and standards as well as Company policies and procedures
Ensure that all crew members perform their flight duties consistent with published Transport Canada regulations and standards as well as Company policies and procedures
Any other responsibilities and duties assigned by the Chief Pilot
3,000 hours Total Time
500 hours propeller time
Must hold Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL)
Must hold Transport Canada Category I Medical Certificate
Able to obtain Transport Canada Security Clearance
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Able to operate Company aircraft domestically, trans-border and internationally without restriction
Aviation diploma/degree an asset
Must be fluent in English language
Effective communication and problem solving skills
Strong leadership and teamwork skills
Flexible and willing to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling
Competitive Salary: $126,240 to 161,260 per year
