About the Role

McLaughlin Financial Group is seeking a highly organized and client-focused Administrative Assistant / Receptionist to be the first point of contact in our office. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a professional environment, and takes pride in creating a welcoming and efficient front office experience.

As the face of our office, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while supporting our advisory team in delivering an exceptional client experience across financial planning, investments, insurance, and group benefits.

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk & Client Experience

Greet and welcome clients in a professional and friendly manner
Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails
Manage appointment scheduling and calendar coordination
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area

Office Administration

Handle incoming and outgoing mail, couriers, and document preparation
Maintain and organize client files (physical and digital)
Assist with data entry and updating client contact systems
Support general office organization and day-to-day operations

Client Support

Act as a first point of contact for client inquiries
Assist with basic administrative follow-ups and appointment confirmations
Prepare meeting materials
Help facilitate a smooth and professional client experience

Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience in an administrative, reception, or office assistant role preferred
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; CRM systems are an asset)
Professional demeanor with strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Experience in financial services is an asset, but not required

Position Details

Location: Harriston, ON
Hours: 20–40 hours per week (additional hours possible during peak seasons such as RRSP season)
Job Type: Full-time/Part-time, Permanent
Wage: $18-$20/hr starting - wages grow with business development and opportunities for bonus/profit sharing.
