Full job description

Job Description

Work with the delivery drivers to load and unload delivery trucks for the purpose of receiving and delivering materials and products.
Work closely with Logistics/Inventory Manager tracking inventory levels
Must count and document precise number of items loaded and unloaded onsite
Must learn and understand all products in the yard and their uses. Be able to find items in a reasonable amount of time with minimal mistakes
Verify order details, record delivery information and obtain proper paperwork.
Deal directly with customers and ensure customer service levels are met and exceed expectations.
Ensure high standards of housekeeping is always maintained within yard and storage areas.
Correctly utilize forklifts and lifting equipment. Ensure daily inspections are carried out on all lifting equipment.
Additional duties as required in line with applicable assessments.

Skills

Must have excellent reading, writing and record keeping skills
Diligence in relation to health and safety
Great communication skills
Ability to plan and organize workload and track completion, being flexible to cope with changing priorities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
Willing to work extra shift/hours during peak season.
Ability to drive truck and trailer for deliveries when personnel are on vacation or yard is slow
Valid G Driver's License
Minimum High school education or equivalent
Ability to work under minimal supervision
Previous warehouse experience an asset
Forklift and or Tella Handler experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.83 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
