Job Overview

MCG Careers, Inc. is recruiting on behalf of our employer partner, a local daycare, for a Full-time Child Care Worker position through the ACTION Workplace Training Program. If you enjoy working with children and are looking for a rewarding career, we'd love to hear from you! No Early Childhood Educator (ECE) certification is required—we're willing to train the right candidate.

Duties

Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean and safe for all childre
Carrying out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children
Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs
Implementing lesson plans/curriculum every week covering all areas of child development
Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family in order to provide quality care for the children
Working on opening or closing shift
Assisting on the daily workflow of the daycare, assisting multiple rooms/age groups when necessary
Change diapers and assist with potty training
We are a customer-oriented, close-knit organization and we have a lot to offer our next team member

Skills

Experience working with children in a classroom or caregiving setting is highly desirable
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members
Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in nurturing young learners’ growth and development
Ability to follow instructions carefully while maintaining flexibility in a dynamic environment
Basic understanding of safety protocols related to childcare settings

This role is essential for creating a supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. We value applicants who are enthusiastic about early childhood education and committed to providing quality care.

Pay: $19.50-$29.00 per hour
