Qualifications:

Possess a valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence
Clean commercial vehicle driver’s abstract (5years)
Provincial or Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Crane Ticket, 2nd or 3rd year apprenticeship
3-5 years proven experience with a solid understanding of crane operations and safety procedure
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to express a positive attitude in stressful situations / handle stress effectively and constructively
Strong understanding of all safety regulations

Responsibilities:

Conduct preoperational checks
Safely maneuver the crane to the designated location, considering factors such as weight, balance, as well as road and weather conditions
Complete all necessary documentation, both pre & post job
Operate crane to lift, move, and position heavy loads, materials, and equipment
Ensure all loads are properly secured and balanced
Perform routine maintenance on the crane
Comply with all safety regulations and JDA company policies and procedures
Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and the general public

Certifications & Training:

Valid First Aid
Valid H2S
Be certified in ODA or equivalent for defensive driving (preferred, but will train)
