Full job description

Big Rock Family Wellness in Okotoks is seeking a skilled and compassionate manual Physiotherapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting wellness and providing exceptional care to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with a variety of physical conditions and injuries. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote recovery, improve mobility, and prevent further injury.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement personalized physiotherapy programs tailored to the specific needs and goals of each patient.
Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical conditions to determine appropriate treatment plans.
Utilize a variety of techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities, to address patient needs.
Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, lifestyle modifications, and injury prevention.
Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, chiropractors, and massage therapists, to provide comprehensive care.
Maintain up-to-date patient records and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in physiotherapy.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta
Proven experience as a Physiotherapist, with a strong background in treating a variety of conditions.
Functional Dry Needling (FDN) Level 1 (preferred)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a patient-centered approach to care.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
