You will do:
- Maintaining a safe work environment
- Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to repair equipment
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the assembly, installation, set-up and repair of equipment and machinery
- Inspect equipment for Cracks using mag particle and di penetrant testing
- Weld repair various types of Sawmill and Planer equipment including Conveyors, Hydraulic lines, chutes hoppers and tanks, using SMAW, GMAW, Air Arcing and Grinding equipment
- Fabricate, install, and repair structural steel assemblies and components
You will have:
- A Proactive Attitude towards safety
- A valid Inter-Provincial or Provincial Journeyperson Welding Certification
- A valid Class 5 Drivers license
- Be capable of passing all positions of CWB testing for SMAW.
- Be familiar with interpreting engineered welding procedures
- Be familiar with Mag Particle and Dye Penetrant testing processes
- Be able to Climb onto, into over Equipment, use ladders and work at heights
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Flexible schedule to work - weekends
- Strong working knowledge of sawmill & planer equipment will be an asset
- Use knowledge and skills to recognize opportunities for improvements and savings
- Aerial work platform and fall arrest training will be an asset
Compensation Package:
- The hourly pay rate for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location.
