Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000 CAD annually

About the role:
We are seeking a relationship-driven and results-oriented Specialist, Workforce Development to help expand STC’s employer and contractor network across Ontario and our expanding regions.
Reporting to the Director, Business Development, this role will lead employer outreach initiatives, strengthen contractor partnerships, and support employment outcomes for students and graduates.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable building relationships through outreach and networking, and motivated by measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities are inclusive of but not limited to the following:
Workforce Development:
· Support workforce development initiatives that improve graduate employment outcomes
· Collaborate with campus and student services teams to align employer needs with student readiness
· Track contractor engagement, hiring activity, and placement outcomes using CRM and reporting tools
Employer and Contractor Partnerships/Network Growth:
· Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, and industry employers across Ontario
· Grow STC’s Preferred Contractor Network to support student and graduate employment pathways
· Conduct outreach through meetings, networking, site visits, calls, and industry engagement
· Act as a key liaison between employers and graduates to support strong hiring outcomes and long-term partnerships
Expected KPIs:
· Minimum 10–20 new contractors per month added to the STC Contractor Network
· Minimum 30-40 employer touchpoints per month (meetings, site visits, calls)
· Minimum 5-10 contractors per month upgraded to Preferred Contractor status
· Minimum 10 new job postings per month within the MySTC Portal
· Contractor Portal Adoption: 100% of preferred contractors onboarded and active in portal
· Content accuracy and updates: 100% curriculum and student service content reviewed monthly
· Portal engagement: monthly increase in logins, jobs, views, and application activity (tracked and reported)
Internal Portal Support, Execution and Management:
· Support adoption and ongoing management of the contractor portal
· Coordinate employer onboarding and engagement initiatives
· Ensure portal data, job postings, and employer information remain accurate and up to date
· Identify process improvements and support system enhancements
