Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers, providing product demonstrations, and driving sales across various high-end retail environments. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of sales techniques, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting. Experience with outside and inside sales, merchandising, and product demos will be highly valued.

We are a small business and will have to multi task. Warehouse duties will also be included. Able to lift 50 plus lbs. Fork lift operate an asset.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
Conduct engaging product demonstrations and upsell complementary items to maximize sales opportunities
Manage customer transactions accurately using POS systems and handle cash or card payments efficiently
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through personalized service and account management
Organize merchandise displays to enhance visual appeal and optimize product placement through effective merchandising techniques
Utilize marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing clients
Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and improve overall store performance
Provide detailed product information, including features, benefits, and technical specifications such as CAD or SketchUp when applicable
Assist in inside sales efforts by following up with potential clients and managing ongoing accounts
Support renovation or construction projects by providing insights on product suitability or space planning as needed

Requirements

Proven experience in retail sales, high-end sales, or related fields such as renovation or construction sales preferred
Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are advantageous
Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for transaction processing
Knowledge of merchandising, product demos, upselling techniques, and negotiation skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport quickly and professionally
Flexibility to adapt to different sales scenarios including inside sales, outside sales, and account management roles
We are a small business and need someone who is willing to multi task, cleaning, some warehouse work etc.
Work every 2nd or 3rd Saturday with having the following Monday off.

Pay: $16.00-$30.00 per hour
