Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook/Kitchen Manager to oversee daily kitchen operations in a dynamic food service environment. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional food preparation skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have a background in restaurant management, team supervision, and extensive experience in food handling and cooking. As a key member of our team, you will ensure efficient kitchen workflows and deliver outstanding dining experiences for our customers.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate kitchen to ensure smooth daily operations
Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with attention to quality and presentation
Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and portion control
Manage food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices
Eventually lead team management efforts by training new staff, scheduling shifts, and providing ongoing support
Monitor inventory levels and report to executive for ordering
Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen
Serve meals efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards

Experience

Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service setting
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling
Strong leadership skills
Experience in restaurant management or hospitality industry preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the food industry
Demonstrated ability to oversee kitchen operations, including inventory control
Familiarity with serving procedures and customer service excellence is a plus
Food Handler's Certificate a must
