Bjornson Insurance Group Inc. , representing Co-operators is actively seeking to support our agency growth by adding to our team of insurance professionals.

The Associate Insurance Advisor - Commercial support person is a key player in the support and development of the agency operations primarily through the service and sales of Co-operators commercial property, commercial auto, and farm products as well as personal lines auto and home.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Service, sales and profitable growth of both personal lines and specialty lines products
Commercial policy processing and ceritficates, working with Commercial Advisors to complete applications
Advise and recommend coverages and policies that best meet client needs
Actively focus on prospecting for all lines of business by identifying and recommending additional products/services that benefit the client
Complete front line risk assessment and selection following underwriting guidelines
Prospect and cross sell by identifying and recommending additional products/services that benefit the client.
Complete Client Reviews
Achieve individual goals for client service, sales, quality and productivity and contribute to the achievement of overall agency sales and growth goals
Support programs to build multi-client relationships
Respond to client questions and concerns, resolve customer complaints and escalate issues appropriately
Proactively complete client reviews on the auto, home portfolio
Support financial services sales activities in the agency

Working Conditions:

Regular office environment
May be required to work flexible hours
May require occasional travel outside the office

To join our team:

General Insurance Level 1 License is required, Level 2 preferred
Meet all provincial-licensing requirements in accordance with continuing education in order to obtain and maintain all licenses
Applicant should live locally
A minimum of 2+ years of insurance industry experience including commercial lines experience is preferred
Strong working knowledge of commercial auto and property insurance products
Experience with selling techniques is an asset.
Must be skilled in communication (verbal and written), organization, time management, client service, decision making, problem solving
Must be comfortable working in a fast paced collaborative environment
Candidate must be comfortable in a technology dependent environment including proficiency with Microsoft Office
Valid driver’s license is required
Reliable vehicle is required due to office location in the county

Compensation – A competitive compensation package and benefits program.
