JOB LOCATION: 165 Line 4 South, Oro-Medonte - Just 10 minutes north of Barrie (Public Transportation is not available)
SHIFT: Mon to Fri 3:00pm to 11:30pm
JOB PURPOSE:
Our Process Technicians are integral to the successful operation of MPC and are responsible for changing and setting up injection moulds and associated equipment, ensuring all process parameters are properly established, and verifying that parts meet specification. Process Technicians also monitor and optimize machine performance, maximize equipment uptime, troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues, and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and cycle times.
DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform and assist with mould changes and setting up machine cells
- Optimize injection molding process parameters to improve product quality, consistency, and cycle times.
- Diagnose and resolved molding defects, including flash, short shots, sink marks, and dimensional variations.
- Collaborat with Quality Assurance personnel to ensure molded components met customer specifications and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot plant equipment including molding machines, grinders, robots and auxiliary equipment
- Ensure process requirements are met and utilize scientific moulding techniques to ensure quality and machinery efficiency
- Complete daily paperwork and record reasons for downtime
- Participate in continuous improvement and assist in its implementation
- Adhere to all plant safety rules and policies, including the wearing of all Personal Protective Equipment
- Perform any additional tasks as assigned
- Promote MPC's core values and actively contribute to a positive and rewarding team environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- · Experience as an Injection Moulding Set-up Technician or Process Engineering Technician
- Knowledge of scientific moulding preferred
- Material handling experience an asset
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to handle heavy loads
- Forklift Operator License or a willingness to obtain
