Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to security, with responsibilities ranging from monitoring premises to responding to incidents. A strong background in security practices and law enforcement is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
Respond promptly to incidents, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Collaborate with local law enforcement as needed in the event of an emergency.
Document incidents and prepare reports for management review, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
Engage in conflict management techniques to de-escalate potential disturbances effectively.
Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on security protocols and best practices.

Skills

Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including report writing.
Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
Physical ability to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time
Ability to pass a security clearance and obtain a security license

Requirements:

Valid Drivers License
Must have their own car
Valid First Aid/CPR, Non Violet Crisis Intervention, Use of force, Mental Health First Aid Trainings are an asset
No Criminal Background

Work Location: In person
