Interest from qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Superintendent
of Schools.
The Board of Education

2026. The successful applicant will
bring a demonstrated track record of leadership skill, courage, vision, and collaborative
teamwork to our learning environment. The Board and its staff support positive change, build on current

commit to improving the life chances of all learners. As part of our team, you
are a champion of inclusive education, success for Indigenous learners and
positive pathways for all students. You
understand and are guided by educational theory and effective practice, and you
are well versed in the public education transformation underway in BC
schools. You are known for your
consistent focus on and delivery of results linked to Strategic Plan
priorities.
As one of three
assistant superintendents, your duties will include direct supervision of a
cohort of schools as well as leadership responsibilities for specific
portfolios, to be finalized as the senior team begins planning for the 2026-27
school year and beyond.

a sense of community and positive results in their schools
Candidate qualifications
include:
- Demonstrated excellence across a
range of school and district leadership roles
- A Master’s degree in educational
leadership or related field
- A valid BC teaching certificate or
eligibility through application to the BC Teacher Regulation Branch
The salary range for
this position is $192, 417 - $213, 797 plus an excellent comprehensive benefits
package.
