Job Summary

We are a service-oriented bookkeeping/accounting/tax support business that supports small businesses and clients in the Interior of BC. Our team uses Quickbooks, Sage 50, and other accounting/tax software programs to take care of our clients. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper (Accounting Support Specialist) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, with experience in various accounting software platforms. This role involves managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in accounting transactions, performing reconciliations, and taking care of our clients. The Senior Bookkeeper will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our clients financial data and providing timely, accurate, and friendly client service and support. This position offers an opportunity to work, learn and grow in an environment where precision, service and professionalism are highly valued. The wage will increase for someone who wants to expand their role.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks Desktop, Quickbooks Online, Sage 50, and Excel Spreadsheets
Perform account reconciliations for bank statements, credit accounts, and other financial accounts
Post and/or match receipts to bank transactions for multiple clients
Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities and resolve issues promptly
Assist with payroll processing and related reporting requirements
Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
Prepare detailed financial reports for management review
Continuously improve bookkeeping processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Senior Bookkeeper
Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in accounting software or the ability to easily learn accounting software programs
Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively
Prior experience working with accounting software integrations is a plus as is a love of accounting

Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
