Full job description

Regular Part-Time Childcare Assistants

The Children’s Therapy & Family Resource Centre has multiple openings for regular, part-time Childcare Assistants in our Supported Child Development Program in Kamloops.

These positions are 20 hours per week, working 8:30am-12:30pm OR 12:30pm-4:30pm, Monday-Friday. There is potential for additional hours.

Applicants MUST have own vehicle and a valid BC drivers license as these positions require travel to/from different daycare locations in the city.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Training in early childhood development (ECE -Early Childhood Education Diploma) or equivalent - ECEA will not be accepted.
A minimum of one year work experience with children, particularly children with additional support needs.
Valid First Aid Certificate
Criminal record check required upon hiring.
Must have valid driver’s license and own vehicle - no public transit as employees will be working at different daycare locations on a regular basis.
Must be available weekdays Monday to Friday, no weekends
Salary: starting at $29.75/hr
Extended Health Benefits following probationary period
