Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and friendly Junior Hair Assistant to join our dynamic salon team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the beauty industry, develop essential skills, and work in a vibrant, customer-focused environment. The Junior Hair Assistant will support senior stylists, ensure client satisfaction, and contribute to the overall smooth operation of the salon. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about hair styling and customer service who are eager to learn and grow within the industry.

Responsibilities

Greet clients warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit
Assist stylists with hair washing, blow drying, applying toner, applying color and basic styling tasks
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and salon areas in compliance with health standards
Support upselling of retail products to clients to enhance their salon experience
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences
Restock supplies and ensure all equipment is properly maintained for daily operations
Contribute to a welcoming atmosphere that encourages client retention and satisfaction

Requirements

Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is a plus but not required; training will be provided
Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
Basic knowledge of sanitation practices relevant to salon environments
Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions from senior staff
Enthusiasm for learning about hair styling techniques and industry trends
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Availability to work flexible hours including weekends if needed; a positive attitude towards providing outstanding client service

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
