Full job description

Pihl Law Corporation is looking for a positive and energetic well-organized legal assistant to join our litigation team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and helping a great team be successful, this position may be a good fit for you.

People who have enjoyed and excelled in this role have a calm demeanor and a good sense of humor, they are both professional, yet personable and are great at collaborating. They take pride in their work, enjoy solving problems, and work well independently and as part of team.

As a key member of our litigation team, you’ll help keep the practice running smoothly by:

Assisting in the preparation of correspondence, pleadings, briefs, court forms, and other documents
Arranging for service and filing of court materials
Acting as a professional and friendly point of contact for clients and stakeholders
Managing both electronic and paper files with care and precision
Maintaining a bring-forward system to stay ahead of deadlines
Proofreading and editing documents
Organizing and prioritizing material and workflow for review by responsible lawyer or paralegal
Calendar management, travel arrangements, and other administrative tasks

Our ideal candidate will bring:

A legal assistant diploma or certificate
Experience supporting a litigation practice
Strong organizational and communication skills
A sense of urgency and the ability to anticipate needs
Solid computer skills (experience with Soluno and/or NetDocuments is an asset)

The salary range for this role is $47,000 - $60,000.
