Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our team. In this vital role, you will manage day-to-day financial record-keeping and asset management of business. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our financial data, support budgeting processes, and facilitate smooth operations through precise account reconciliation and effective management of accounts payable and receivable. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing organization committed to excellence.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks accounting software.
Process and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and internal records.
Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies, errors, or irregularities, resolving issues promptly.
Assist with payroll processing by verifying employee hours and ensuring timely payments.
Prepare detailed reports on account balances, budgets, and financial status for management review.
Support month-end closing activities by reconciling accounts and preparing necessary documentation.
Prepare and file tax and WCB remittances.
Prepare and process payroll in an accurate and timely manner.

Requirements

Proven experience with QuickBooks Online is essential.
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation.
Knowledge of payroll processing and related compliance requirements.
Ability to perform detailed account analysis and maintain accurate records.
Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial reporting standards.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and external vendors.
