Full job description

Overview

Canine Campus is looking for a compassionate and responsible Overnight Dog Attendant to provide care for our canine clients during nighttime hours. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of dogs while their owners are away or asleep. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work overnight shifts in a calm and professional manner. Prior experience in pet care or customer service is a plus, but a genuine passion for animals is essential.

Duties

Monitor and care for dogs overnight, ensuring they are comfortable and secure throughout the shift
Providing dogs dinner and breakfast
Ensure that all dogs have access to water, and ensure comfort and security by adjusting bedding, toys, or other comfort items as needed
Feed and administer medication to dogs as directed by owners or management
Monitor dog interactions during group play sessions, ensuring positive and safe behavior.
Clean and sanitize kennels, bedding, and common areas to maintain a hygienic environment
Observe dogs for any signs of distress or health issues and report concerns promptly
Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving supplies or large dog kennels
Follow all safety protocols to ensure the well-being of both staff and animals

Skills/Requirements

Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when required
Ability to work independently during overnight hours while maintaining alertness and professionalism
Comfortable handling dogs of all breeds and all sizes
Good communication skills for reporting incidents or concerns clearly and accurately
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays-
Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all animals and staff

Canine Campus is open

Monday - Friday 6:00am - 7:00pmSaturday's 8:00am -6:00pm
