Surgical Medical Office Assistant (Updated)

PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING:

Typical hours 8-4, with shortened day on Friday

About Us

Central ENT is an established Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery practice with two experienced surgeons, providing a diverse range of surgical and clinical services to patients across the Interior of BC.

About the Role

A busy two-surgeon practice is seeking an experienced Medical Office Assistant to join our established surgical clinic. While working collaboratively within a close-knit support team, this role serves as the dedicated point person and primary administrative contact for one of our surgeons — making it an ideal fit for someone who thrives on ownership and building strong working relationships.

This is a full-time, in-office position suited to a mature, highly organized and detail-oriented professional, who thrives in a dynamic environment, where priorities and deadlines are ever-changing.

The successful candidate will be comfortable both collaborating within a team and working independently — someone who takes initiative, stays on task without direct supervision, and brings reliability and good judgment to everything they do.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

Previous MOA experience in a surgical or procedural setting is strongly preferred
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to remain calm, professional, and empathetic with both patients and colleagues under pressure
Familiarity with sterile processing techniques and clinic cleaning protocols is required
Proficiency with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system; experience with Collaborative Health Record (InputHealth) is a strong advantage
Strong communication skills — we value honesty, transparency, and mutual respect
