The Opportunity
This is not a typical quoting role.
You’ll sit at the center of engineering, sales, and production—owning how projects are scoped, priced, and technically defined before they hit the floor.
At CODE ELECTRIC, we design and manufacture electrical distribution kiosks and custom-engineered solutions used across critical infrastructure—including utilities like BC Hydro.
We’re growing—and we need someone who can step in, think like an engineer, act like an owner, and turn complex requirements into clear, buildable solutions.
What You’ll Own
You will be the technical backbone of our front-end engineering process:
- Build accurate, high-quality quotation packages from drawings, specs, and real-world constraints
- Translate project requirements into clear bills of materials, datasheets, and drawing packages
- Work cross-functionally with sales, design, production, purchasing, and R&D to ensure projects are viable and profitable
- Support customer and consultant conversations with confidence and technical clarity
- Engage with engineering firms to help position our products for specification and pre-qualification
- Contribute to R&D and product development, not just execution
Bottom line: You turn ambiguity into executable projects.
What You Bring
You’re not just experienced—you’re sharp, practical, and solutions-driven.
- Bachelor’s degree &/or diploma in an electrical discipline
- 5+ years in design for electrical manufacturing, or a related industry
- 2+ years in a technical quoting, applications, or customer-facing engineering role
- Strong understanding of electrical distribution equipment (Schneider, Siemens, Eaton, ABB, etc.)
- Ability to read single-line diagrams and perform accurate take-offs
- Creative mindset to help customers tackle their projects
- Solid knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code (CSA C22.1)
- Comfortable discussing technical details with engineers, consultants, and internal teams
- Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools
Bonus points if you know:
- BC Hydro ES54 standards
- CSA C22.2 product standards
