Full job description

Mailroom Supply Administrative Support Assistants

Auxiliary on Call as Required

Duties: Reporting to the Manager Student Success, the position is responsible for the distribution of internal and external mail, the coordination and maintenance of the mailroom processes, the assignment of mailboxes and the distribution of office supplies. In addition, the position provides backup support and assistance to the Student Services Reception area. The position will be required to maintain excellent relations across functional teams in the College and have an excellent understanding of College programs, services and operating practices.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a certificate or diploma in Office Administration, Administrative Assistant studies, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, along with two years of related administrative experience in a busy office environment. They will possess strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and standard office equipment is required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate tact, diplomacy, sound judgment, and professionalism when working with students, employees, and the public. Experience in a post-secondary environment, familiarity with student information systems, and knowledge of mailroom, courier, and office supply operations are considered assets

Salary: Position #150

CUPE Pay Level 3 with a starting wage of $27.28 per hour with increments progressing to Step 5 as per CUPE Collective Agreement (this includes 8% in lieu of benefits and vacation.)
