Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing food preparation and cooking processes, and maintaining overall restaurant efficiency. A background in hospitality, food industry operations, and team management is essential to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and scheduling team members
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met consistently
Manage food handling procedures in compliance with safety and sanitation regulations
Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain smooth kitchen operations
Enforce food safety policies and ensure adherence to health regulations
Lead restaurant management tasks including maintaining cleanliness, organizing workflow, and optimizing service efficiency
Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
Assist with menu planning, costing, and developing new dishes to enhance the dining experience
Manage restaurant operations during shifts to ensure profitability and high standards of service

Experience

Proven supervising experience within the food service or restaurant industry
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
Experience in restaurant management or hospitality roles preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
Previous hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
