Telecon is looking for a Directional Driller to join our growing team. This role is based out of yard in Vaughan, ON.
This is a full-time position offering a competitive wage along with the following:

Working under the supervision of the Foreman, the Directional Driller will Operate a Directional Drilling machine and drive the support vehicle (s) used to transport this equipment to various project sites.
YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Load and unload directional drill equipment in a manner that is secure and damage free.
- Transport associated tools, materials and/or equipment in a safe manner.
- Complete Driver’s logbook & daily vehicle inspection (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, accident, or incident reports.
- Complete a daily inspection on equipment prior to commencing work.
- Prepare the drill fluid based on site conditions prior to boring commencing.
- In conjunction with locator, operate the directional drill using the selected bore heads and back reamers to place cables and / or duct.
- Trouble shoot any equipment issues and relay to service technician for assistance or resolution.
- Able to operate the drill locater as required.
- Other duties as required.
THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- Valid Class A driver's license with ‘R’ or ‘Z’ endorsement is required.
- Must have similar previous drilling experience and working around existing buried utilities.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to lift 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Must provide a clean driving record (abstract) and criminal check prior to employment commencing.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must be fully proficient with CVOR and Book 7 requirements.
- Demonstrated commitment to health and safety and willing to receive applicable Health and Safety. training as per legislative and job requirements.
