Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and creative individual to join our team as a Pastry and Bakery Specialist. This role involves preparing a variety of baked goods and sandwiches. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in baking and food handling, and possess excellent customer service skills. This position offers an opportunity to showcase culinary talents in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Duties

Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and other confections
Decorate desserts with artistic flair, ensuring high-quality presentation
Assist with food preparation tasks such as mixing, assembling, and portioning ingredients
Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Package baked goods for retail display or customer orders with attention to detail
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment sanitation
Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selection and answering questions about baked goods
Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and maintain workflow efficiency

Experience

Previous experience in bakery operations is highly preferred
Restaurant or food industry experience is advantageous
Skills in food preparation, cooking, baking, and food handling are essential
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
Experience with packaging baked goods for retail or wholesale purposes is a plus
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and food industry standards is desirable

This role requires a passion for baking and culinary arts, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Pay: $17.20-$26.08 per hour
