Full job description

Job Overview

Trailhead Kingston is a locally owned business that has been serving the outdoor community for over 30 years in downtown Kingston. We are looking for a bookkeeper to join our team.

Duties

Manage all aspects of bookkeeping using accounting software Sage, including recording transactions and maintaining accurate financial records
Handle accounts payable to ensure timely payments
Manage petty cash and weekly bank deposits.
Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis to verify financial accuracy and identify discrepancies
Process payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
Filing HST and corporate taxes monthly
Filing WSIB payments quarterly
Reconcile accounts regularly to maintain up-to-date financial statements and reports
Support office administration tasks such as ordering office supplies, correspondence, and maintaining organized filing systems
Other duties as needed
Work with our accounts to prepare end of year financial statements

Requirements

Proven experience with accounting software including QuickBooks or Sage
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, accounts payable/receivable, and account reconciliation techniques
Familiarity with payroll processing and related compliance requirements
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills and multitasking abilities
Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and departments
Prior experience in office management or administrative support is a plus
