Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time experienced, confident and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our veterinary team. The ideal candidate will assist veterinarians in providing high-quality care to animals, perform laboratory procedures, and ensure the smooth operation of the clinic. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment committed to animal health and well-being, with a focus on client service and professional growth. Weekend and Evening availability is a must!

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
Prepare animals for surgery and recovery, monitor anesthesia, and provide post-operative care
Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
Maintain accurate medical records and update patient files
Provide client education on animal health, nutrition, and preventive care
Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of surgical instruments and treatment areas
Support inventory management by ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels

Skills

Prior laboratory experience is highly desirable to efficiently perform diagnostic tests
Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Knowledge of veterinary medical procedures, equipment, and safety protocols
Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks simultaneously
Able to separate personal preferences from professional responsibilities and maintain positive, respectful working relationships

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
