We are hiring an Assistant Kitchen Manager for our Kingpin Boston Pizza Kitchener location

What will you be doing?

Assist in managing daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Supervise and support cooks, prep cooks, dishwashers, and other kitchen staff.
Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering food, supplies, and equipment.
Help control food and labor costs by minimizing waste and improving productivity.
Assist with receiving and inspecting deliveries for quality and accuracy.
Train, coach, and mentor kitchen team members.
Create staff schedules and assist with shift planning as directed.
Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and report repair needs.
Address operational issues and support problem-solving during service.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
Assist with menu implementation, recipe updates, and special events as needed.
Step into the Kitchen Manager's role during absences.

What we're looking for?

2–5 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, inventory management, and kitchen operations.
Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Food Handler Certification (required or obtained within a specified timeframe).
